Robert Keith Hankins was born in Snyder, Texas on July 2, 1961, to Keith Hankins and Jeanive Teague Hankins, and passed away at his home in Scotland, Arkansas on December 19, 2024.
He loved his Texas and the Texas Longhorns and made sure everyone knew when they won!
He was an active member at St. Jude in Clinton, Arkansas where he taught a class and loved teaching about God. Robert was strong in his faith, and he made sure whenever he could go to mass, he went. He loved his church and church family, and he often spoke of them. He mentioned the Priest coming by before and after his surgeries and praying with him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Hankins, Grandmother and Grandfather, Willie and Cecil Teague, Grandmother and Grandfather, Edna and David Hankins, along with all of the Hankins and Teague families.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Jeanive Hankins, sister Laura Shirley with brother-in-law David Shirley, nephew Whitt Whitton with wife Courtney Whitton, and great-nephew, Carter Keith Whitton. He leaves behind many cousins and friends who loved his knowledge of sports (Dallas Cowboys, UT), family history, and random trivia.
Robert had a love for life and if you were around him much he would share his enthusiasm with you. He was also Craig Head County Constable for a few years, and he loved helping and interacting with the community.
Visitation service will be held at 9:30 am, Rosary at 10:00 am, and a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, on December 23, 2024, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Clinton, Arkansas. The interment will follow at Pee Dee Cemetery on Hwy 16 East in Clinton, Arkansas
