Robert Lee Harbin Jr., known affectionately to all as Bob, was a beloved figure in his community and a cherished member of his family. Born on March 16, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bob was a man of faith and dedication. He was called home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026, in Ellicott City, Maryland, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom.

Bob was a man who valued education and hard work. He earned his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Baltimore, a testament to perserverance and intelligence. His professional life began with his tenure at the C&O Railroad, then later, Bob's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the proud owner and operator of The Chatterbox Inc. and Harbin Farms, where he poured his heart into every endeavor. His fond memories of working on the farm with his sisters led to the establishment of Harbin Farms which remained in existence for over 50 years. He captured the hearts of family, employees and customers at the produce stand, where his stories and shenanigans will be treasured and never forgotten.

In his personal life, Bob loved his family. Though he was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edna Harbin, his sister Dorothy Jean Rest, his brother-in-law Carlton Wiles, and his nephew Chip Wiles, his memory will be forever cherished by those who survive him. His loving sister Sylvia Wiles, brother-in-law Lawrence Rest, nieces and nephews Dee and Tony Handorf, Kim and Mike Taylor, Judy Wiles and Dianne Ruwe, Karen Valentine, and Mike Rest, along with his great-nieces and nephews Joseph Sennett, Brian Sennett, Ryan Handorf, Chris Handorf, Kyle Handorf,
Lucia Valentine, Josie Valentine, Allie Handorf, Katie Taylor, Grace Valentine, Madison Taylor, and Isaac Rest, will all miss his presence dearly.

Bob's Christian faith was an important part of his life. His sense of humor, his warm laugh, and his ability to find joy in the smallest of God's blessings were traits that drew people to him. Traveling and spending time with family were among Bob's greatest joys. Bob was a storyteller at heart, and tales of his adventures captivated the imaginations of all that knew him.

His absence will be felt deeply by his loved ones, but the memories of his kindness and humor will remain with them always. Rest in peace, dear Bob, your memory will live in our hearts forever.
