Robert (Bob) Hausler of Queensbury passed away peacefully at Saratoga Hospital on September 1,2025 at the age of 91. Bob was born in Schenectady, NY to Leonard and Sally (Sepcilka) Hausler and grew up in the Bellevue area. Bob met the love of his life, Shirley Spetla Hausler and they married in June of 1957 and enjoyed 68 years together.
Bob was drafted to the US Army and served from 1953-1955 in Japan. He then went to work alongside his uncle Walter Hausler delivering Blue Ribbon and Table Talk Pies, followed by Service Liquor where he retired from. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 669.
Bob and Shirley built their dream home in Queensbury where they met wonderful people along the way and enjoyed their home for over 30 years. They spent many years traveling, visiting casinos and spending time in Myrtle Beach. They enjoyed boating on Lake George for many years as well.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Sally Hausler, his uncle and mentor Walter Hausler, and many other aunts and uncles as well as sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, his son Robert W. (Jennifer) Hausler, and his daughter Sharon (Gregg) Collette. His grandchildren Erica (Brian) Hennessey, Ryan (Abby Ambridge) Collette, Evan Collette, Kaitlin Collette and great granddaughter Ava Hennessey.
Arrangements are under the care of Bond Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on September 8,2025 from 10-11am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady followed by a committal service with military honors at 12:30 at Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
