Robert Heier Obituary

Robert "Bob" Michael Heier, 51, of Westboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at his home.

He was born January 27, 1974 in Marshfield to Robert and Rosemary (Roiger) Heier. He grew up in Whittlesey and graduated from Medford High School on 1992.

During his high school years, Bob worked for the Forest Service. After graduation he worked in the kitchen at Medford Area Middle School before starting at Black River Industries. Over his 25+ years with BRI, Bob worked a variety of jobs, including cleaning at the veterinary clinic, working on the lawn crew and the wayside management team along with several other jobs at the BRI facility.

When he wasn't working, Bob loved hunting, fishing, attending Whittlesey baseball games, bowling and throwing horseshoes. At any event you could see Bob making the rounds, visiting anyone and everyone throughout the day. He enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with his many nieces, nephews, and more recently his great-nieces and nephews. And of course, we can't forget his four-legged buddies, his dogs Hooch and his sister Heidi's dog DeOge, who he enjoyed taking for walks or rides on the side-by-side and spoiling whenever Rosie or Heidi weren't looking. Bob will truly be missed by all.

Robert is survived by his mother Rosemary of Westboro, 4 siblings; sisters, Kristy (Tom) Steen of Medford, and Heidi Heier of Westboro, and brothers, Abraham (Samantha) Heier and Andrew (Kellen) Heier, both of Medford. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.

He is further survived by nephews, Crandel (Kelcie), Coyle (Taylor), Dominic (Bridget), Preston, Jayden, Anthony, Shea, Andreas and Lucas, nieces, Annika and Mackenzie, as well as great-nieces, Aspen, Willow, Harper, Lorelei, Ella and great-nephews, Owen and Caspian. Bob is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Heier, sister, Abigail, maternal grandparents, Michael and Genevieve Roiger, and paternal grandparents, Tony and Theresa Heier.

A memorial service for Bob will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Julian Druffner officiating. Burial will follow at Historic St. Ann's Cemetery. Visitation will take place at OLPH Catholic Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
