Robert Wayne Hendricks, 85, of Kenbridge, VA passed on July 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth “Betsey” Bagley Hendricks; his parents, Howard and Virginia Johnson Hendricks, his brother, Howard G. Hendricks, Jr. and his sister, Barbara H. Malone. He is survived by his daughter Robyn H. Fowler (Thomas); his sons, Jeffrey Hendricks of Newport News and Nathan Hendricks (Rose) of Illinois his grandchildren; great-grandchildren and niece, Teresa Carpenter. Wayne graduated from Brunswick High School and attended Smithdeal Massey Business College. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. Wayne sold medical supplies for many years and later worked for Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blackstone. He enjoyed tinkering on the farm and storytelling. He will always be remembered for his love of family, music and old cars. He was a member of Antioch Community Church, 3489 South Hill Road, Kenbridge, Va, where the family will receive friends at his graveside on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 5:30PM until start of services at 6PM. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to Antioch United Methodist Church, C/O Jeffrey Bacon, 2075 Bacon Fork Road, Kenbridge, VA 23944. Clarke funeral Home, Kenbridge, in charge of services.
