Robert Henry

Robert W. Henry Sr., 76, of Clayton (Silver Lake), NJ, formerly of Stratford, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on February 8, 2025. Born on November 21, 1948, in Audubon, NJ, he was the beloved husband of Helen Hymerling-Henry for over 26 years. Helen was the love of his life.
He was the devoted father of Robert W. Henry Jr. (Andrea), Kevin T. Henry (Gina), and James R. Henry (Gina), as well as a cherished stepfather to James Laltrella (Christine) and Angela Farren (Jeff). Robert took great pride in being a grandfather to 14 wonderful grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving sister, Ruthann Thompson (née Henry).
A proud graduate of Sterling High School, Class of 1967, Robert dedicated 33 years to Public Service Electric & Gas, working in overhead line construction before retiring in 2000. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, bass fishing, and creating cherished memories with family and friends at his lake house. A true animal lover, Robert adored his dogs and later his cats, Mugzy and Gizmo.
Robert was a beloved figure in the lives of many, known for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. He was a role model and father figure to countless individuals, leaving behind a legacy of love and integrity.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Henry (née Maltman), and his brother, Thomas Henry Jr.
Robert's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
