Robert "Big Rob" Hooks Jr

Robert Earl Hooks, Jr, a native of New Orleans, LA, departed this life on Friday, June 7, 2024, at University Medical Center. He was born on March 2, 1984 to Robert Earl Hooks, Sr. and Linda Hooks. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Hooks; and brother, Charles Hooks.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Michaelyn Hall Hooks; son, Romell Hall; 2 daughters, Ronell Hooks and Micquel Hall; grandson, Ace'sten Hooks; Godson, Dihanz. Anderson; Goddaughter, Shawayne Dillon; father, Robert Earl Hooks Sr.; brother, Joseph Hooks; Godmother, Gilda Bolds; and a host of other godchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Robert Earl Hooks Jr. was a man of many trades but he had a special love for coaching kids and teaching them music. He coached at N.O.R.D, was a disc jockey, and has also worked as a landscaper cutting many yards. One thing Rob loved for sure was his family and his car. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, June 27, 2024, 1:00PM, at Professional Funeral Services, 1449 N. Claiborne Ave, NOLA. Visitation starts at 12:00PM. Interment Private
