Robert J. Bobby J. Bavido

Robert J. "Bobby" Bavido, Sr. departed this life at the age of 85 on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at West Jefferson Hospital. He was a native of New Orleans and lived in Terrytown for the past 56 years. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School then worked over 20 years at First NBC Bank and retired as a Jefferson Parish Deputy Bailiff for Judge Jo Ellen Grant. He loved family gatherings and vacations, bowling, crawfish boils, all things LSU including Tiger Football and Tiger Baseball, and lived for watching the NFL, MLB, Fox News, The Five, and Yellowstone. Bobby enjoyed music, especially The Beach Boys, Elvis, The Eagles, and Celine Dion. His passion in retirement was driving his 1957 Chevy Bel Air while attending Cruisin' the Coast with his son, Bobby J. He was also dedicated to attending Catholic Mass at Christ the King Church, as well as watching daily mass via the Catholic TV Network. Bobby was a devoted husband of 64 years to his beloved survived wife, Margaret Lara Bavido. He is also survived by his children Gay Ann Bavido (Missie), Robert J. Bavido, Jr. (Theresa), Sandra J. Bavido, his grandchildren Brittany Adams, Karlie B. Collignon (Travis), Alexa B. Crenshaw (Jeff), Tony Barcia and great-grandchildren Parker A.C. Adams, Deklan L. Collignon, Ruston V. Crenshaw, and brother Ronald D. Bavido. He was preceded in death by his father John P. Bavido, Sr., his mother Sadie B. Bavido, and his brother John P. Bavido, Jr. (Mary). Relatives & friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home located at 3827 Canal Street in New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by 12:30pm mass. Father Nam will officiate & entombment will follow at Lake Lawn All Saints Mausoleum.
