Our brother Bob brought much laughter into our lives. We enjoyed hours together on the phone, sharing events both present and past. We'd reminisce about our growing-up years, family gatherings, and zany relatives. Shortly after Bob moved to Newman Grove we received a panicked call from our city-bred brother. "This new job is sending me into the field--literally. Do cows bite?"
One of our favorite stories was about Bob's first date with the lovely lady who eventually became his bride. Bob had casually asked where a woman might like to go on a date. We said, "The theater, museums, picnics, movies, restaurants, hiking, etc."
Evidently that lacked allure. Instead, Bob thought a gun show would make a wonderful first date setting. Amazingly, Karen agreed, and their romance ensued.
Bob has transitioned to his heavenly home, but he still lives within our hearts.
