Robert James Big Crow-Tyon was born on May 30, 1989 in Gordon, NE to Louis "Rattler" Tyon and Dakota Sioux "Happy" Big Crow. Robert made his journey to the Spirit World on March 26, 2025 at his home in Pine Ridge, SD.
Robert is survived by his parents, Louis "Rattler" Tyon and Dakota Sioux "Happy" Big Crow; brothers, Peanut and S'oka Big Crow, Hayden Allen Tyon, Robert Titus, Ethan Weasel Bear, Jeff Big Crow, Jr., Mike Jack, Danny Bear Runner, Jr., Paul "Pauly Walgs" Negron, Julian Bear Runner and Bud Beane; sisters, Diondra Tyon, Reagan Allen Tyon, Naloni Little Bear, Johnnie Little Bear, and Cissy Jo Beane; grandparents, Francyne and Richie Little Bear, Louis and Kathy Tyon, Gene "Popcorn" Tyon, Veatrice Weasel Bear, Delores Red Feather, Ivalee Big Crow, Ramona Big Crow, Victor Holy Elk, Edred, Lee and Yvonne "Tiny" DeCory, Mary Ellen Red Shirt, Marjorie Murdock, Bob and Kamook Ecoffey; aunts, LaTonna Little Bear, Jodi Anderson, Margaret Red Feather, and Gail Three Stars; uncles, Bud Little Bear, Yamni Jack, Rocky White Calf, and Michael Weasel Bear; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Big Crow-Tyon; sister, Dominique Brave-Tyon; uncles, Jeff Big Crow, Sr., and Orville Red Feather; grandparents, Paul "Skunk" Daugherty, Paulette Red Feather, Julie Negron, and Delane No Neck; great-grandparents, Bob and Esther Ecoffey, Elizabeth "Velma" Red Feather, and Francis "Jr." Big Crow; and great-great grandmother, Julia Crazy Horse-White.
