Robert S. Jameson, 75, passed away suddenly on September 28, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Irene Jameson.
Robert graduated from Olney High School in Philadelphia before earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and later a Master's degree from West Chester State University. In 1969, he volunteered to serve his country as a United States Marine and completed a tour of duty during the Vietnam War.
Following his military service, Robert returned to Philadelphia to continue his education and went on to dedicate his career to public service. He joined the New Castle County Police Department in Delaware, where he proudly served until his retirement in 1998, achieving the rank of Captain. He later contributed his expertise in drug enforcement with the State of Delaware and subsequently became Director of Public Safety at Delaware Technical College's Stanton campus.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Katherine Hogan Jameson; his sister, Jorene Jameson; and by his cousins, extended family, and many friends.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to honor Robert's memory with donations to the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Hockessin, Delaware at [palde.org](https://palde.org).

It was with great sadness that I received the news of Jamie´s passing. We were teenagers together in our Olney neighborhood and shared many a laugh with his sister and I. Jamie will be greatly missed. Rest in peace faithful servant. Thank you for your service to our country, and the citizens of Delaware.
