Obituary of Sue Meer

Sue Meer, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 at the age of 81.

Susan K. Meer was born in Walla Walla, Washington on April 2, 1944 to Mildred (Millie) and Charles Roberts who predeceased her.. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1963 and from the University of Puget Sound in 1967 then had many wonderful experiences in Philadelphia at Temple University where she graduated with a masters in psychology and a proud career as a school psychologist with the Jefferson County Schools. After her marriage to Jerry in 1986 they became partners in every way in their commercial real estate business which she continued to run until shortly before her death.

Sue was a caring friend and stood by the people who loved her and loved them in return and had close relationships with her nephews and Jerry's daughters and nephews and other family members, treasuring visits with babies and young children. She was a dynamo of a business woman and a master at organization as she welcomed family and friends into her home with enthusiasm. She loved organizing social activities for her entire neighborhood.

Sue faced her last illness with that same organization.

Rescuing and rehabilitating her beloved dog, Poppy, and raising her puppy, Daisy, were major interests for years as well as golf, travel, painting and gardening.

Susan K. Meer was the beloved wife of Gerald "Jerry" Meer for 33 years, sister of Myrna (Wayne) Cook, adoring aunt to Todd (Leanne) Cook and James (Kathryn) Cook, three great nephews, one great niece and one great grand niece. She loved and was loved by Jerry's family, daughters Teresa Burbach, Devra Meer, and Linda Kendrick, Z"L, and one granddaughter, as well as his nephews Michael (Marcia) Levy, Mark (Nisa) Levy, and Ruben Levy, Z"L, and Jerry's sister, Jacquie (Norman) Levy, Z"L. She had many friends who shared her devotion.
