Robert Marshall "Bob" Jessup

CROWLEY -- Bob Jessup, 71, of Crowley passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Crowley Cemetery, Crowley, Texas Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Donations may be made to First Baptist, Crowley, Missionary Fund, 400 S. Eagle Drive, Crowley, Texas 76036; or your local SPCA. Bob was born on Nov. 14, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Kenneth and Edith Jessup. He was a loving husband and father, even to his dogs, Misty and Trixy, who were more like his children than pets. He recently retired and was staying busy reading books of his faith, studying genealogy, and participating as an active member of First Baptist Church of Crowley. Bob was a devout Christian who is no longer in pain and is now with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Angie. Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Pat; sons, Mark Jessup of Crowley, Scott Jessup of Hurst and Ray Jessup of Arlington; daughter, Pam Lyon of Aledo; brother, Donald Jessup of Reno, Nev.; sister, Nancy Bird of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
