Robert Allen Kauffman, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2025. Born in Elkhart, Indiana, Robert spent his early years in his hometown before moving to Houston, Texas in 1980, where he built a life filled with hard work, deep friendships, and a lasting love for his family.

Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1978. His time in the military shaped his lifelong values of discipline, responsibility, and service. Following his honorable discharge, he carried those principles into his professional life, becoming a skilled and resourceful businessman. Known for his problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach, Robert was someone who could fix just about anything-and often did, for anyone who needed help.

He married Cheryl Childress on September 9, 1972, and though the two later divorced, they shared a life together that brought them their two daughters, Brande and Sherrilynn. Robert's greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather to his six grandchildren, Keller, Keaton, Kayden, Katherine, Kyle, and Lyndsey.

Outside of work and family, Robert enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: a quiet afternoon fishing, a good burger, watching sports or his favorite shows on TV, and spending time with those he loved. He had a generous heart and a grounded spirit, always making time for others and offering support whenever it was needed.

Robert will be remembered for his honesty, generosity, hardworking nature, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence, sense of humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
