Robert J. Kenneson, Sr.
"Proud husband, father, grandfather & brother"
Robert J. Kenneson, Sr., 84, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Shirley R. (Latino) Kenneson.
Robert was born in Bristol, CT on July 17, 1939, a son of the late John B. and Mary Ann (Kovaleski) Kenneson. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Era. He worked for the City of Waterbury, first as a police officer and retired from the maintenance Department after 10 years. He was an avid coin enthusiast.
Robert leaves his children; Domenic "Nicky" Kenneson and his wife, Christine and Robert J. Kenneson, Jr. and his wife Olga all of Waterbury and Kimberly A. Kenneson with whom he lived of Naugatuck; four grandchildren, Victoria Kenneson, Robert J. Kenneson, III, Charles Kenneson and Sophia Kenneson; two brothers, Peter Kenneson of Nevada and John Kenneson of Waterbury; three sisters, Ethel "Fritz" Marrone of Fort Kent, ME, Sandra Zappone of Waterbury, and Debbie Oswalt of Detroit, MI and several nieces & nephews. Besides his wife Shirley, he was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Vesterman and a half sister, Charlene Acree.
Arrangements: Robert's services are private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with Robert's arrangements.
