Robert Keith Kerr, 68, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his home.
Robert Keith was born on January 19, 1957, in Altus, Oklahoma to Robert M. and Robbie Clay (Tinney) Kerr. He grew up in Altus and attended Altus and Navajo schools, graduating from Navajo High School with the Class of 1976. He then attended Western Oklahoma State College and was on the Rodeo Team. Robert Keith worked on the family farm and co-owned and operated R and R Cattle Company, with Rick Holder. Their business was mainly cowboying and moving and hauling cattle. He married Johnna Kane in Snyder, Oklahoma in May of 1983. Robert Keith was a cowboy to his core. He lived the cowboy way on his own farm and cattle operation. In 1987, he went to work for the State of Oklahoma Department of Transportation or ODOT. He worked as a Transportation Equipment Operator for 28 years before retiring in 2015.
Robert Keith attended Friendship Baptist Church and was a committee member for the Great Plains Stampede Rodeo for many years. He also was a 4-H Riding Club sponsor. He enjoyed working his horses and cows, fishing, roping, joking around, and giving his nephews a hard time.
His wife, Johnna, and father, Robert M. Kerr, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Keithta Kerr; his mother, Robbie Kerr; a sister, Robin Kerr Story; brother, Rodger Kerr and wife, Tamra; two sisters-in-law, Ginger Lemons and husband, Allen, and Pam Morris and husband, Gene; four nieces and nephews, Braxton Wenk and wife, Abby, Kerrstin Nortonen and husband, Dom; Kaleb Kerr and wife, Jacy, and Kennedy Foster and husband, Jonathan; and four great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Tutten officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren Senior Citizens & Community Center c/o Peoples State Bank, PO Box 248, Blair, OK 73526.
