Robert William Klampfer, age 74, of West Norriton, died on July 28, 2025 at Paoli Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 21 years to Patricia G. (Alessio) Klampfer. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 3, 1951 to the late Francis and Violet (Harris) Klampfer. After high school, Bob attended vocational technical school for HVAC. Bob entered the US Army and served our country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict. He served with Co C, 82nd Engineer Battalion USAREUR and achieved rank of Specialist 4th class. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters (OS Bars), Sharpshooter badge, and the Bronze Star Medal. After his service, Bob continued his career in HVAC and worked at Hahnemann University Hospital for 23 years and became department Supervisor, and it is also where he met his future wife, Pattie. Bob moved on to work for Simon Properties, owners of the King Prussia Mall and worked there for over 3 years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Free Masons and was active with Charity Lodge 190 of Norristown, and Masonic Lodge 620 of Norristown. He also was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite. Bob was a devout Catholic and member of St. Titus Church, where he supported his wife Pattie in many ministries within the church. He was a model train collector and had a year-round display that he was proud of. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 0039 in West Norriton, the Vietnam Veterans of America in East Norriton, and the Disabled American Veterans #25 of Norristown.
In addition to his wife Pattie, he is survived by his children through marriage: Nicholas Guirate (Chrissy), Kimberly Tallarico (Peter), Kevin Guirate (Kristen), and their children Tegan, Taylor, Giovanni, Olivia, Roman and Lucia, his brother Francis Klampfer (Cathie), his sister Dolly, and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers Jimmy and Anthony, and a sister Patsy.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation from 9:00-10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at St. Titus Church, 3006 Keenwood Rd., East Norriton, PA 19403. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in Bob's memory can be sent to St. Titus Church at the above address.
