Robert George Knabe, 88, loving husband to the late Patricia "Pat" Knabe, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 15, 2025.

Born in Plainfield, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Eugene "Pop" and Margaret "Mom" Knox.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Anthony) Mabry and Karen (Rob) Medlin; grandchildren, Atticus (Kate) Mabry, Jacob Mabry, Neil (Cait) Medlin, Clint (Brittany) Medlin, Cristy (Quentin) Williams and Richard (Leslie) Knabe Jr.; great grandchildren, Joshua, Braeden, Ava, Anykah, Riley, Stella, Jackson, Andre, Olin, Opel and Lillian; and a brother, Paul Grube.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Knabe Sr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Simpsonville / Upstate Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM.

Interment will take place in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Robert's name to First Baptist Church / Upstate Church, 3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
