Robert W. “Bob” Koons, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away at home on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 59. Born November 17, 1965, at Andrews Airforce Base, he was the son of the late George E. Koons and the late Patricia Brown.
Bob worked various jobs throughout his life, most recently at Pepsi in Williamsport, MD, until his deteriorating health forced him to retire early. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and he was a huge music fan, with his passion being the band KISS. He enjoyed KISS concerts and collecting their memorabilia.
He is survived by his four children, Heather Gormont (Steve), Jennifer Koons (Michael Sanders), Ryan Koons and his companion Jason, and Helen Paris (Jason); two brothers Charlie Koons (Kristen) and Donnie Koons (Lora); a half-sister Nora; grandchildren, Steven, Gracie, Kean, Natalia, Anayah, Ellyana, Jason, and Mavrick; and a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be private. However, the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, June 27, 2025 in the Chapel of SimpleChoice Cremation Services, 1680 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA.
