Robert Vaughan Lockhart

Robert V. Lockhart passed away October 17, 2023, at Danville-Sovah hospital. He was born March 17, 1934, in Semora, NC to the late Martha Buettner and the late Willard Buettner (stepfather). He was preceded in death by his loving wife Orpha Lockhart; sons, Robert Lockhart, and Mike Lockhart; and sons-in-law, Charles Durham, Jr., and Willis Dalton.

Robert was an independent truck driver until age 82. He is survived by his children, Kathy Durham, Sheila Wagner (Steve), Tony Lockhart, and Tammie McNichols; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special neighbors, Waverly, Linda, and Teresa.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
