Robert Lundblade Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 2, 2026.
Robert Lee "Bob" Lundblade passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, Kansas. He was born on March 9, 1951, to Fred and Elva Jean (Whitson) Lundblade in Garden City, Kansas.

Bob married Patricia "Patty" Kuhn, and three children were born to this union: Andrew William Lundblade, Mandy Kaye Rogers, and John Wayne Lundblade. Bob and Patty later divorced in 2004. In 2006, Bob met Christie Lynn Strickland, and the two were married. They remained married until his passing.

Bob owned and operated his own tire shop in Plains, Kansas. He also worked in road construction for over 30 years. In 2000, Bob attended the truck driving program at Vo-Tech in Liberal, Kansas, and later enjoyed a 14-year career as a semi-truck driver before retiring in 2014. After retirement, Bob enjoyed making benches and toy boxes from recycled furniture, a hobby that brought him pride and joy.

Bob is survived by his wife, Christie Lundblade, of the home, and their fur son, Bear; his daughter, Mandy Rogers of El Dorado, KS; and his son, John W. Lundblade and wife Katie of Kingman, KS. He is also survived by his bonus children: Rochelle Sittingdown of Wichita, KS; Nathan Sittingdown of Garden City, KS; and Ralynn Sittingdown of Hugoton, KS. He leaves behind ten grandchildren: Rachel Rogers, Nevaeh Rogers, Sylvester Rogers, Bailey Lundblade, Tailor Killian, Grace Johnson, Raymond Killian, Donna Killian, Jesiah Ross, and Sienna Lundblade. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Smith and husband Tim of Springfield, MO; Sarah Lundblade of Springfield, MO; and Melody Ortiz and husband Eddie of Bailey, MS; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elva Jean Lundblade; his brothers, Dale, David, Ernie, and Walter Lundblade; his son, Andrew William Lundblade; and his beloved fur baby, Clark.

There will be no viewing, as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to Dream First Bank of Syracuse, KS. Arrangements are under the care of Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Messages of condolence may be left on our website. WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com
