Robert J. 'Bob' Manzer, age 68 of Montour Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home. Born on January 1, 1957 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Raymond and Rita (Luta) Manzer. Bob worked in logging and construction for most of his career.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and trap shooting - where he earned the title of State Champion. He was known to be very handy and you could find him around his home fixing various things. He loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Lola.
Bob is survived by his daughters: Casey (Matthew) Smith of Corning, NY, Melissa (Kevin) Trout of Trout Run, PA and their mother, Debra (Caward) Manzer of Elmira, NY; grandchildren: Jordyn Manzer, David Peterson, Jaxson Smith, Skylar Stewart; brother, Raymond Manzer; sisters: Roxanne (Frank) Luta, Rebecca Manzer and Renee (Patrick) Smith.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at St. James' Episcopal Church, 112 6th St., Watkins Glen, NY. Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name may be sent to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org
