Robert Ramon Marlette Sr.

Robert Ramon Marlette Sr., 71, of Bowling Green, KY, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born on September 26, 1954 in St. Louis, MO to George and Rita Claire Marlette, Robert lived a life of love and faith. He loved to spend time with his family, play guitar, watch movies, collect all sorts of things, and eat mountains of mashed potatoes at every family get together.

He served ten years in the Missouri National Guard, then graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla with a degree in Engineering Mechanics. His career as an engineer took him to many places, until he retired from the GM Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, KY.

The most foundational and life shaping event in Robert's life, was in May 1987, the day he placed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was invited to a Bible study and introduced to what became his life verses, Ephesians 2:8-9. From that day forward, going to church, praying, and reading his Bible were regular parts of his walk with the Lord. His faith brought him strength and peace, even when trials and tribulations came. In the final weeks of his life, while facing many health issues, his confidence in the promised eternal life with Jesus brought him a peace that passes all understanding. Of all the things that he would want to pass on to his family and friends, as his legacy, would be his faith in Jesus.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Marlette; children, April (Ben) Quintana, Robert Marlette Jr., Kyle (Jill) Marlette, Danielle (Scottie) Boone; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Nick, Summer, Tommy, Logan, Silas, Ella, Hunter, Charlie, Wyatt, Parker; great grandchild Laiklyn; sister, Rita Claire (Steve) Grant; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Rita Claire Marlette.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 12:00pm at Southside Baptist Church, visitation beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church of Bowling Green, KY.
