Robert Carroll Maxwell "Bob", 90, of Livonia, passed on January 6, 2025. Bob was born in a log cabin in Baxter, Tennessee to his parents Herman C. Maxwell & Callie (nee. Lollar) Maxwell on February 13,1934. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit and continued on in his education, receiving a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University.
Bob was married to Pamela A. Russell on January 28, 1961, and they were married just shy of 64 years.
Bob was the CEO/Owner of The Communication Group, that he originally started with two friends, and continued on his own after their retirement. He was the writer, producer, editor and did the voice overs. Prior to becoming a business owner, he served in the U. S. Army, worked for Cadillac and Jam Handy, and was a model and actor of stage and TV from the mid 1960's thru the 1980's, and as such, was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, cards, singing, and croquet, even becoming a multi-champion croquet player, along with his team, for Channel 7 in Detroit.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pamela; son, Robert M.; daughter, Lisa (Michael) Parrinello; grandchildren, Danelle (Daniel), Craig (Chelsea), Jessica (Christopher), and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Carter, Maximus, Clara, Hattie and Cade; sister in law, Joyce.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Callie (Lollar) Maxwell; father, Herman C. Maxwell; brothers, Harold Dean Maxwell, Truman Maxwell, Jerry Maxwell; sisters, Rose Stringer, and Kathy Braddom.
The visitation will be held Sunday, January 12th from 12:00 - 6:00 PM, with the funeral service at 6:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt in Livonia. Bob is being laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on Monday, January 13th at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations in memory of Bob be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Link below
