Robert May

We mourn the passing of Robert G. May, 83, of Wethersfield on January 3, 2026.He was born on December 6, 1942, to Stanton and Rose May of Hartford. He graduated from Bulkeley High School and later served in the United States Army Reserves.
He was married to Barbara (Kozak) May for 55 years, a partnership defined by steadfast devotion and shared joy.
His career reflected a deep dedication to learning and community. He worked at Norwich Free Academy for 24 years as director of data processing, where he supported generations of students and educators. He later continued his service with Manchester Public Schools until his retirement, closing a distinguished chapter in public education.
Outside of work, he found simple joy in watching sports, especially cheering on his favorite New York Yankees and Hartford Whalers.
Bob is survived by his wife, two daughters, and several brothers and sisters-in- law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 12:00-1:00 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, with services immediately following.
