Upon graduation, Bob joined the Marines and honorably served his country. Bob was also the president of the Southbridge Skin Divers Club. He worked at A&M Tool & Die for 38 years, as a Toolmaker then a Quality Inspector. After leaving A&M he worked as a Real Estate broker with Coldwell Banker. In his retired years he enjoyed traveling and cruising with Elaine. They enjoyed many years in Clearwater Florida, spending their winters. Bob was an avid golfer throughout his life. He enjoyed teaching his grandsons to golf. He was involved with the Marine Corp league, participating in Toys for Tots. He took great pride in being a lifelong Marine.
