Robert S. "Bob" Meinig

Robert S. Meinig of Germantown Hills passed away January 7, 2025, at the age of 78.
While Bob was a man of few words, he was a man of great action, leading to a laundry list of experiences and accomplishments that he, being the humble man he was, chose to downplay
or keep to himself.
His professional life was a journey from serving four years in the United States Army (two of which were served in Germany) to his retirement as Caterpillar's Global Human Resources
Manager after thirty years with the company. Along the way Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.
Bob's life was built on friendship and joy. His family knew that Pop-Pop (or Dad, or Uncle Bob, or dearest husband Bob, or even just Bob) was always willing to help on a moment's notice. Be it fixing cars or helping with house projects, Bob was there.
Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandy; brothers Arthur Meinig and Les (Patty) Meinig; children Meghan (Dan) Ferneding, Kristen O'Haver, and Robert (Kristina) Meinig; grandchildren Luke, Joey, and Robbie Ferneding, Noah, Julia, Sam, and Jaiya O'Haver, and Benji and Bobby Meinig; Will Rosfeld; and son- and daughter in law Doug and Abbie Rosfeld and their children Roman, Hope, Patch, Adele, and Emma.
Preceded in death by parents Mona Kay and Robert Leroy Meinig, in-laws Helen and Heinz Heyse, and beloved daughter Stephanie Rosfeld.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
