Robert W. Meredith

Robert Wiley Meredith Age 82 of Bluefield WV died peacefully on April 14 2025 with family by his side.

Born August 16 1942 to the late WR (Buss) Meredith and Beulah Mae Kemp in Northfork WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Richard (Dickie), Jimmy and sister Nancy Childress, and infant sister Beverly. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Linda (Carson) Meredith, sister Janet (Jerry) Decker of Johnson City TN, Daughter Tina (Mike) Pittman of McLeansville, NC, son Robert (Susan) Meredith of Pittsburgh Pa, son David (LeAnne) Meredith of Abingdon Va, son Michael (Heather) Meredith of Johnson City TN, and youngest daughter Leanne (Danny) Linkous of Bluefield Va. Grandsons, Andrew Meredith, Logan Hollyfield, Zachary Meredith, Robby Meredith, Jacob Meredith, Trey Meredith, Eric Linkous, and Ryan Meredith. One granddaughter Kali Fitzgerald and 2 great granddaughters, Bennett Fitzgerald and Charlee Meredith. Special niece Glenna (GiGi) Erickson of Thomasville NC, and several other nieces and nephews.

Bob was a devoted husband to his one true love Linda for 58 years never leaving her side and spending every moment possible with her. A man of few hobbies, he devoted his life to her. He was a caring father and mentor to many young people through community/church involvement for many years. He was a long-time member and deacon of Memorial Baptist Church in Bluefield Va.

He and his father owned and operated Meredith Transfer in Northfork for many years. He was Operations Manager for Eclipse Austin in Bluefield Va, worked for MAS Inc in Bluefield, Va and ultimately retiring from DCI Shires in Bluefield WV.

Visitation will take place at Memorial Baptist Church at 401 Virginia Avenue, Bluefield Va on Wednesday April 16 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will also be at Memorial Baptist on Thursday, April 17 at 12 PM. Services will be conducted by Pastor Bill Lykins. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell WV with full military rights observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield Va.
