Robert Meskan

We mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 75. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Diane (nee Luckey), two sons- Michael (Felicia) and Matthew (Megan), and a cherished grandson Augustine.
Born on July 2nd, 1947, Bob was the son of Helen and Emil. He was raised in Chicago and Lake in the Hills and attended Dundee Crown High School, where he excelled athletically. After graduation, he was drafted and served in Vietnam. After his service he worked as a lab tech where he met his wife Diane and married in 1975. He then joined the Post Office where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
Bob had a deep passion for fishing and spent a lot of time at his camper. He was also fond of Las Vegas, where he enjoyed playing slots and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
Above all, Bob was a kind and generous soul who devoted his life to helping others. He went above and beyond his call of duty to support his colleagues in the Postal Union where he served as his Branch Vice President for many years. He was widely respected for his dedication and commitment.
Sadly, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Asher, whom he loved very much and parents, Helen (nee Kowalski), and Emil.
The memory of Bob will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy inspire us to be kind, selfless, and compassionate to those around us.
