Robert J. Miciotto, Jr. died suddenly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was the beloved son of Dr. Robert J. Miciotto, Sr. and the late Gaynell Lee Miciotto. Known as "Jay," he was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 16, 1959, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and was age 66 at the time of his death. During a second phase of his life in the Baltimore area, he graduated from the Mount Hebron High School in Ellicott City, Maryland in 1977 and returned to Shreveport in 1980 to live permanently in the city. He became a gas field technician and the operator of the family grocery store.

He is survived by his father, brother, Stewart Bradley Miciotto (Veena) who reside in India; sister, Belinda Miciotto Bane (Chris) of Shreveport; his nephew, Austin Smith who was also a close personal friend. Jay also had several persons whose friendships were close and cherished.

Jay will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery in a private graveside service. He was also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and had undergone a salvation experience in the early 1980's.

Dr. Miciotto, Brad and Belinda,
I am sorry to hear of Jay´s passing. I have always loved the Miciotto family and consider y´all good friends. Jay was always friendly with me and I am sorry to say I haven´t seen him for years. God bless you and comfort you in your grieving.
