With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Mixon, Sr., a beloved retired pastor, who departed this life on May 5, 2025, in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on June 1, 1940, Robert was a guiding light to many, embodying faith, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to his community.
Robert's life was marked by his commitment to serving others through his pastoral career, where he touched countless lives with his heartfelt sermons and genuine kindness. Known for his warm smile and welcoming demeanor, he had an incredible ability to connect with people from all walks of life, often providing a listening ear and words of encouragement during challenging times.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, cherished by his family—his beloved children, Denise, Robert, Jr., Melody, Pasadena, Cleveland and Litischua. Each of them carries forward the values instilled in them by their father, and they find solace in the memories they created together, from family gatherings to quiet moments of reflection.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA. A graveside service will honor Robert’s memory on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Cemetery, situated on Deans Bridge Rd, Hephzibah, GA.
As we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Robert Mixon, Sr., let us remember his unwavering faith and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. His spirit will forever reside in our hearts, guiding us as we continue on our personal journeys.
