Robert Leonard Moore, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home in Avella, PA, on January 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on November 8, 1941, in Canonsburg, PA, Robert lived a life marked by dedication, perseverance, and a strong will.
Larry was the owner and operator of his own plumbing company, a testament to his commitment to his work. His career allowed him to build a reputation as not only as a skilled tradesman. In addition to his professional achievements, Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged. His military service deepened his sense of duty and belonging, forming an integral part of who he was.
Known for his strong-willed personality, Larry enjoyed life on his own terms. He created cherished memories while buck hunting with all of his children, a pursuit that brought him great joy and allowed him to instill his love for nature and tradition in the next generation. He was also known for his fondness for spending time at local spots like Billy's Bar and Tonya's Tavern, where he could engage with friends and share in the camaraderie of the community.
Larry's family was the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his sons: Larry (Tammy) Moore, Lance Moore, and "JC" (Lyndsey) Moore; his daughters: Deanna (Chance) Georgetti and Corrina (Late Kevin) Kelly; and his grandchildren: Dirk, Shayne, Nicole, Taylor, Ryder, Luna, Remi, and Sage. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Larry joins his beloved wife Jane (Carroll) Moore who passed away on February 19, 2018 after 39 years of marriage, his parents Joseph and Evelyn (Knupp) Moore and his three sisters.
Friends and Family will be received on Thursday February 5, 2026 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave. Washington PA.
