Robert Mourey

Robert Allen Mourey, 63, of Paulding, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Dupont Hospital.

Robert was born in Fort Wayne on January 11, 1961, a son of the late Betty (Stover) & Joseph Mourey.

Growing up in a large family, Robert spent much time outdoors, playing sports and going on adventures with his siblings. His love for the outdoors continued into adulthood as he started his own lawn and landscaping business. Robert enjoyed going on casino trips with his wife, Sheryl, and more recently enjoyed sitting and watching the birds together. Nothing brought him more joy, however, than spending time with his family. He always loved to play with and spoil his grandchildren.

Robert will be sadly missed by his wife, Sheryl, to whom he was married in 1990; children, Joshua (Morgan), Jacob (Stephanie), Rachael (Kishan), & James Mourey; siblings, John (Cathie), Larry (Lori), Dennis (Gwen), Deanna (Bruce) Willibey, Teresa (Chris) Beaty, Carol (Steve) Feipel, & Darryl (Beth); sister-in-law, Linda Mourey; brother-in-law, Richard Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; & beloved grandchildren, Kensley, Ashton, Bentley, Amari, Gemma, & Hazeleigh.

Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Ron Mourey, Dale Mourey, & Joann Williams.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25th from 4-7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home of Antwerp.

Service will be Tuesday, March 26th at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at the Funeral Home.

He will be laid to rest privately at Paulding Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
