Robert "Bob" Myrick, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Born December 10th, 1950, in Portland, Maine, Bob was the son of the late Chester and Irene (Kennedy) Myrick. Following his graduation from Portland High School, Bob proudly dedicated over 20 years of service to the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. After his military career, he went on to hold several positions in quality assurance for various food brands.
Bob was a lifelong member of the VFW. While in the military, Bob did search and rescue missions for the United States Air Force. Bob was a Vietnam Veteran. He also volunteered to build a park for the military base's children. The park was built in two days and was called the Tiger Cub Park. The park was built with his family and volunteers. Bob could often be found in his garage tinkering on cars, a passion of his. He had a deep love for sports cars and motorcycles. When he wasn't tinkering in his garage he could be seen chauffeuring his two granddaughters to their gymnastics meets, making sure he got to see them compete. He was into sports himself. He was a lifelong Packers fan, playing football and baseball for the hospital, as well as in Turkey and Vietnam. He played anywhere he had an opportunity to play. When his daughters were growing up, he loved roller-skating with them. He had a love for camping with the family his whole life. Fishing was a passion he shared with his daughters and grandchildren; He especially loved fishing in Alaska.
Bob was a girl scout leader and volunteer with his wife as well as a certified bowling instructor, something they did with their daughters growing up. Bob was a NASCAR collector of memorabilia, as well as a model airplane and car builder/constructor. He was a lover of wildlife, something he really enjoyed in Alaska. He really enjoyed and could be seen watching the deer in his own backyard.
Along with his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, James Myrick; sisters, Faye Mullen, Mary Jane Wildes, Linda Brinkerhuff Demers, Cyrita Myrick-Moore, and his half-sister, Rheta Brochis; as well as his grandson, Collin Smith.

He also had two beloved and devoted nieces, Gail Mullen – Atwood and Christine Nickerson. His nephew, Park Atwood, with whom he shared a lot of the same interests. He had a very special friend of his granddaughters whom he enjoyed and admired, Natasha LaRochelle. Also, a very special family friend who would do anything to help him, Quentin Garrett and his daughters Abby and Maddie with whom they thought of as a grandfather (Papa).
