Robert "David" Neisler, a beloved brother and uncle, passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Neisler, father, Robert Neisler, and step-mother, Emma Neisler. He is survived by his sisters, Denise Scerenscko and Melinda Foster (Don) and his brother, Ben Amerson (Tina); Nieces and nephews, Mary Beth Alexander (Clay), Jonathan Foster (Jennifer), Kristina Inscoe, Stephanie Shelnutt (Randy), Katie Davis (Zach), Savannah Carter, and Bobby Scerenscko (Rylee); and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
Always the life of any church service, family gathering, or party, David always made everyone feel welcome with an enthusiastic greeting that was heard long before David could be seen, which was always followed by a warm bear hug. David never met a stranger, and anyone who was blessed to meet him became his friend for life--as he never forgot a face. David adored his family, and made sure to call all his loved ones on their birthday to sing "Happy Birthday" with his best Elvis Presley impersonation. David took immense joy in the simple things such as The Andy Griffith Show, Braves baseball, showing off his newest watch, eating, and making new friends.
David was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 14th, 1964 and lived the majority of his life in Cobb County, Georgia. The last two years of his life were spent living at Delmar Gardens in Smyrna, and the wonderful staff and many of the residents there became like family to him. He was also a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church (Austell) and a 1983 graduate of Pebblebrook High School.
David's family will be receiving friends and loved ones for visitation on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 from 1-3, with a funeral service to follow at 3. The funeral service will be officiated by Randy Smallwood at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. David will be laid to rest at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in a private family burial on a later date.
