Robert Nemore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 4, 2025.
Robert Edward Nemore was born February 7, 1948, in Overton County, TN, and he passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at his residence in Gainesboro at the age of 76.
He was the son of Walter Robert Nemore and Versie Lee Brown Nemore. On September 15, 1967, he married Miss Barbara Helen Allen. Robert had an upholstery business for many years and was widely known for his quality work.
He was a great guitar player (one of the best). He taught himself to play, at a young age, by listening to Flatt and Scruggs on the radio. He has played in many bands through the years, along with his wife, Barbara, and son, Jay. He most enjoyed playing gospel music and praising God with his talent.
He was so proud of his sons, both accomplished musicians, and loved his family and grandchildren beyond measure. Robert was quiet, soft-spoken and he loved the Lord. He will be missed greatly, but he leaves a legacy of honesty and compassion and love for others. He always treated people like he wanted to be treated.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Everly Grace Nemore.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Barbara Nemore; sons: Donnie (Hannah) Nemore and Jay (Rhonda) Nemore both of Gainesboro; granddaughters: Danielle, Haley, and Emerson; grandson: Easton Nemore and great grandchildren: Alli, Jaycee, Miley, Braxton, and Brantley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm in the chapel at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11 am at the Allentown Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN with Bro. Kelly Stockton officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Allentown Cemetery or charity of donor's choice by contacting the funeral home.
