Robert J. Nesbitt, 95 of Hastings, NY, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born on March 19, 1930 in Chateaugay, NY to the late Henry and Myrtle Nesbitt.
His worked was very important to him. Robert was a concrete foreman for many dams all over the country. He loved to travel, woodworking and building many projects.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Teresa) Nesbitt, Carol Stever, Sharon Nesbitt and Joseph (Melissa) Nesbitt; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; stepchildren, Paulette Calenbralle, Pam Hoffman and Ernie Boyton; siblings, Loren (Norma) Nesbitt, Kate Dibble, Edith Johnson, Helen Randall, Lenard Nesbitt, Doug (Sue) Nesbitt, Tommy (Sharon) Nesbitt, Lawrence Nesbitt, Billy (Blanche) Nesbitt and David (Nancy) Nesbitt.
Predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Nesbitt; children, Ronald Nesbitt, Diane Nesbitt and Donna Brand.
Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, Central Square, NY on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 9:30am. There will be a spring burial at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.
Family has requested that flowers be reserved for the cemetery in the spring.
