Robert Ellsworth Neve Jr.

Robert Ellsworth Neve, Jr. 80, of Midland, died Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025, at his home. He was born December 9, 1944, in Midland, son of the late Robert Ellsworth and Mary (Knapp) Neve, Sr. A veteran of the United States Navy, Robert was a devoted husband of 49 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Robert held a special relationship with God and found great joy in his church.
On August 14, 1976, he married his queen Donna Marie Payne in Midland, and she survives him. He is also survived by his sons, William Clarence (Marge) Letts, Steven Ray (Peggy Sue) Letts, Robert Ellsworth Neve, III and Daniel (Lannaya Deniece) Neve; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Duane Allen Neve and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Samuel Adam Neve, and his sister Carolyn Devericks.
Funeral services for Robert will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Bob's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service.
