Greg Neve Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on Jan. 6, 2026.
Greg Neve died at his home in Vesper on January 4, 2026 after a lengthy illness. As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation or service.
Greg was born on November 27, 1964 in Merrill, WI to Don and Marlene Neve. The family moved back to the Pittsville area in 1972 where he spent much of his free time hunting and fishing on the family homestead.
He enjoyed his years raising his daughter on Buffalo Lake in Packwaukee, WI.
He graduated from Pittsville High School in 1983 and attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, graduating with an Associate Degree in police science. He then attended Mt. Scenario College in Ladysmith, graduating with a criminal justice degree. He received a Masters Degree in counseling from UW-Stout.
He started his work career as a rehab counselor in Juneau County, soon transitioning to a guidance counselor in several school districts.
Sports played a huge part in his life. Greg played basketball, baseball and football very successfully in high school. In college, baseball was his focus. He played at WWTC and Mt. Scenario, followed by a basketball grad assistant coaching position at UW-Stout. Post college he played softball for many years. He was an avid fan of the Badgers, Packers, Brewers and Bucks.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Dakota (Kastan) Skogstad-Neve, his mother, Marlene, and his siblings Don (Tracy), Deb (Tim) Martin and Randy (Kelly Borchardt) as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his father, Don Neve.
