Pinecrest Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service - Spring HillRobert S. Nilsson 73 of Weeki Wachee FL passed away on August 11th, 2025, at home. He was born on September 7th, 1951, in Chicago Illinois to Perry and Gloria Nilsson. He went to Mozart Elementary School through 8th grade, his family relocated to Hoffman Estates where he attended J. B. Conant High School, Bob attended William Rainy Harper College in Schaumburg and later transferred to Michigan College to play hockey.
Bob lived in Illinois all his life until 2021 when he moved with his family to Florida to live a dream he had for his retirement years. He did get to live that dream for too short of time.
Bob was a truck driver most of his career, after retirement he worked as a driver for Enterprise for many years.
Bob had many things in his life he enjoyed one was his love for hockey, you could always get him talking about hockey and relive his hockey days , his love for his son Landen playing hockey was so obvious, you could just see how proud he was of him for his accomplishments , Bob was able to relive a time in his life he loved through Landen which made him so happy. Bob loved the Blackhawks, boating, camping, collectable cars, his Chevelle, corvettes and motorhomes.
Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna L. Nilsson, his son Landen W. Nilsson, stepdaughters Millicent Haller and Melissa Nelson. Daughter Diana Nilsson, son David Nilsson, and grandchildren. Also surviving is his 1st wife Francis Ferro
A celebration of Life for Bob will be held Saturday September 6th from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel,3360 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill FL 34609.
