Robert Amos Nosler

Robert "Bob" Amos Nosler age 79, of Bend Oregon passed away surrounded by his family on September 2, 2025. Bob was born on April 21, 1946 in Ashland Oregon, to parents John and Louis Nosler. In 1958, his family moved to Bend Oregon. He graduated from Bend High School in 1964 and attended University of Oregon. He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1966-1970 in the Submarine Service aboard the USS Nathan Hale during the Vietnam War. Bob returned home to join the family business (Nosler, Inc.) started by his father John A. Nosler. He immersed himself in every aspect of operations, rising through the ranks as Production Manager, Vice President, President, and CEO, before becoming Chairman. He was a true visionary, guiding the company through significant expansions and innovations. Bob married Joan Kathleen Hilliard on July 15, 1967. The couple shared 58 years of marriage filled with love and adoration for one another. From this union 3 children were born; Christie Lynn Nosler (Chase), Jill Ann Nosler (Bailey), and John Robert Nosler. Bob was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed writing, authoring and publishing three fiction novels, working on his classic car, watching college and professional football, and spending time with family and friends. Bob was known for his outstanding character. His strong faith in God, dedication to his family, along with mentoring and being a kind friend, were just a few of his attributes. He was a member of many organizations during his life including Bend Rotary, Bend Chamber, NRA, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Oregon Hunters Association, just to name a few. He was a former member of New Hope Church in Bend Oregon. Bob was preceded in death by his parents John A. Nosler, Louis D. Nosler and his brother Ronald J. Nosler. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan Nosler, his 3 children and their spouses, Christie and Andy Chase, Jill and Jeff Bailey, John and Susie Nosler, 17 grand and great-grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
