Celebration of Life : 4 – 7 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City
Robert Chris Overstreet, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Known affectionately as "Bobby" and "Red" in his younger years, he was born on April 30, 1958 in Danville to the late J.C. and Margaret Egger Overstreet. Robert was a son of Forkland and lived his entire life on White Oak Rd. He farmed, logged, and made a living as a woodworker and carpenter. He worked hard and he played hard. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone in need. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing, venturing outdoors, and watching westerns. Robert was predeceased by his parents as well as a daughter, Melinda Pruitt.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert "Brodie" (Claire Gwaltney) and Andrew (Barbara Sidoti) Overstreet, daughters, Wendy (Brian) Campbell and April Torbush, granddaughters, Sara Overstreet (and one on the way), and brothers, John and David "Yogi" Overstreet.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 -7 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. In honor of Robert's love for animals, the family welcomes donations to the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
