Robert Owen
Robert Owen, age 75, of Easley, passed away on October 29, 2024.
He was born on March 7, 1949 to Samuel Grady and Marie Stokes Owen. He was a member of Ariel Baptist Church. He worked as a manager at Alice Manufacturing for 30 years after receiving his degree in management. He enjoyed all things football. He played for Easley High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his 100 meter dash. He also played for Clemson as well until he joined the Navy, where he continued to play football. He served in the Navy from 1970-1973. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife, Donna Owen; his sons, Jeremy Owen, and Nick Owen (Nicole); his grandchildren, Airza and Weston Owen, Tripp, Addison, and Zoey; and his sisters, Phyllis Spearman, and Sylvia Owen-Justice.
He is predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Sammie Lou Hawkins, and Doris Owen LaBoone; and his brother, Arthur David "Hub" Owen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November, 6, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley, SC.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Veteran's Affairs at 222 McDaniel Ave # B13, Pickens, SC 29671.
