Robert Pahr Obituary

On January 6th, 2026 Robert W. Pahr Jr., retired lawyer, beloved husband of the late Doris H. Pahr (nee Anderson) and loving father to Robert III (Debbie), Penny Keenan (Matthew), Gary (Mary), Patrick (Robin) and Cheryl Bunk (the late James), passed away at the golden age of 103. He served in the Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) during WWII and he worked for the Western Maryland Railway and later for the Travelers Insurance Company after the war. While his 5 children attended the John Carroll School in Bel Air, he was a dedicated volunteer for many of the school's athletic and weekend activities. Up until his last few years, he was active with the Knights of Columbus (Bishop Sebastian Council 5058) and with his home parish, St. Ursula Church in Parkville. He is survived by his 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27th from 4 to 7 pm at the family owned Marzullo Funeral Chapel on Harford Road. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 11 am at St. Ursula Church in Parkville. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.

Dear Pahr family, I had several conversations with Robert as far back as 1978ish in regards to genealogy. He was patient & kind and through him I acquired some additional information about "MY" tree, but even though our families seemed to have come to Baltimore around the same era I never found a blood connection. Despite this I am grateful for his kindness and consider him a kindred relative. I hope he , and all his family, are in a good place.
Regards, Joe Pahr
