He is preceded in death by his son, Jacob Haden Pate; and parents, James Simeon Pate Jr. and Sarah Mae Pate.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy L. Pate of McCalla, AL; daughters, Chariti M. Pate of Lake View, AL, Sarah L. Pate of McCalla, AL, and Alexandria M. Green of McCalla, AL; son, Joseph M. Pate of McCalla, AL; brother, James Simeon "Jim" Pate III of Howton, AL; and grandchildren, Hayden Gant of Lake View, AL, Sawyer Green and Samuel Green, both of McCalla, AL, Asher Holstine of McCalla, AL, Jack Boyd and Lydia Boyd, both of Lake View, AL.
Mike leaves behind 42 years of love with his wife and a lifetime of hard work and devotion to his family. Instead of only mourning, we choose to honor the amazing man he was.
Flowers can be given in Mike's honor or donations can be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
