Robert Paxton Obituary

Robert and Zella Adeline Bruffett were united in marriage on September 8, 1956 and to this union eight children were born. His favorite pastimes were fishing, tinkering in his garage, growing tomatoes, watching westerns and telling stories and jokes. In addition to his hobbies, Robert was exceptionally resilient, surviving being struck by lightning twice, open heart surgery and many other "events". He never met a stranger and had a great love for dogs. Robert's most recent joys were the birth of his granddaughter Lillia to son Danny and attending his daughter Tracey's wedding. He will be truly missed and loved by all that knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two children Michael Ray Paxton and Tamara Sue Paxton, one great-grandson Logan Kristopher Davis and one sister Sharon Neill.
He is survived by his wife, his six children Keena Brumbaugh (husband Ron), Marilyn Raybell (husband Rocky), Tracey Robinson (husband Kevin), David Paxton (wife Jennifer), Sharlotte Barber and Danny Paxton, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow at 1 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
