Robert Stanley Peddle

Robert Stanley Peddle, age 92, a resident of Gurnee passed away on September 20, 2022 at Sunrise Senior Living in Gurnee. He was born on January 21, 1930 in Highland Park, IL to Stanley Patrick Peddle and Edith Loretta (nee Ralph) Peddle. He was a member of the Plumbers local 130, and former member of the Elks of Highland Park. He was an avid bowler in many leagues and tournaments over many decades. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan!

Robert is survived by his children, Elizabeth A. (Robert) Morris of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Bridget M. (William) Gross of Cary, IL, Robert T. (Melissa) Peddle of Lake Villa, IL, Daniel P. Peddle of Ft. Worth, TX, and Mary L. (Dave) Sibley of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Robert Morris of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Rebecca (Erik) Ogren of Bristol, WI, Timothy (Heather) Effrig of McHenry, IL, Amber (David) Putman of Crystal Lake, IL, Cami Effrig of Vernon Hills, IL, Janine (Gene) Janocik of Wauconda, IL, Colleen (Joe Schnur) Peddle of Plainfield, IL, Haley (Jon) Lochan of Round Lake Beach, IL, David Sibley of Plainfield, IL, Alex (Rachel Nevil) Sibley of Youngsville, NC, and Molly Sibley of Plainfield, IL; his 10 great grandchildren; his siblings, Margie M. (Marty) Netzer of Lake Bluff, IL and Edith B. Hughes of Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Robert Peddle; his brothers, William P. Peddle and Ronald J. Peddle; and his parents.

A funeral service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 12 noon. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral chapel from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service. Interment will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville.
