Robert P. Peters, 81, of Kingsford passed away on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at the Green Bay Rehabilitation Hospital.

He was born in Iron Mountain on April 4, 1944, to the late Alfred and Ruth (Pollar) Peters. Bob was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School. Shortly after graduation Bob joined the Marine Corps, serving 3 years of active duty. He continued his education at Northern Michigan University. Following graduation Bob took a position with Wisconsin Electric, working with them for 42 years, retiring on Feb. 28, 2011. Bob enjoyed spending his time outdoors, fishing and hunting or playing cribbage with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his 4 children, Gail (Chad) Hutchings, Amy (Jason) Karp, Wendy Peters, and Scott (Shena) Peters; 9 grandchildren, Alexis, Aubrey, Zack, Chloe, Sabrina, Valorie, Ethan, Austin, and Analise; 2 siblings, Cynthia (Calvin) Baird and Leonard (Annette) Peters; and other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Mary Fabry and Alfred "Sunny" Peters.

Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026. The funeral service will be officiated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Ben France presiding at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
