Robert "Bob" Phenicie

Robert B. "Bob" Phenicie, age 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 30, 2022, with his wife Paula by his side. Bob courageously battled Parkinson's disease for many years, and over the last couple months he suffered from Covid complications.
Bob was born on January 9, 1943, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, son of the late Robert S. and Elizabeth "Betty" Vogan-Phenicie. During his childhood years, he was diagnosed with rheumatic fever on two separate occasions, thus resulting in being quarantined for at least a year at a time. As a WWII veteran Master Sergeant in the United States Army, Bob's father died from Malaria contracted during the war.
Bob attended Rocky Grove High School in Franklin, Pennsylvania and Penn State Behrend College in Erie, Pennsylvania. He then completed his apprenticeship and became a Master Tool and Die Maker. For over 40 years, Bob dedicated his skills and expertise to Shaw Industries Inc. in Franklin, Pennsylvania, retiring in 2005. Bob was an avid outdoorsman that included many passions: fishing, golfing, hunting, gardening, riding his motorcycle, archery, photography, and restoring old cars. He took great pride having his son by his side learning and enjoying the same passions. During his years with Paula, they enjoyed many friends and family activities, traveling, and enjoying new adventures.
He is survived by his wife Paula Logue Phenicie of Richmond, Kentucky; son, Jeff Phenicie (Angela) of Mineral, Virginia; sister, Sally Phenicie of California; three stepchildren, Colleen Rush, Keiren Gillum and Brian Logue; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous cousins. He was very close with his uncle Richard "Dick" Vogan and his aunt, Phyllis Vogan of Franklin, Pennsylvania.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Phenicie; mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Vogan Phenicie, and his daughter, Robin Phenicie.
The family is planning a 'Celebration of Life' this coming April during trout season in Cooperstown, at his favorite fishing hole.
