Robert Rolan Phillips

Robert Rolan Phillips, 96 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at SSM Seminole. He was born August 3, 1929 in Snomac, Oklahoma to parents John Calvin and Emma Lee (Reddings) Phillips.

On December 4, 1950 he married, Elva E. Merriman in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and together they raised their four children, Terry Don Phillips, Bobby Phillips and Jimmy “Keith” Phillips and Pamela Burnett. Robert worked as a roustabout in the oilfield.

Robert is survived by sons, Terry Don Phillips of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Bobby Phillips (preceded his father in death April 11, 2025) and Jimmy “Keith” Phillips of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Pamela Burnett of Seminole, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Heather Boes, Tim Earnest, Leslie Burdine, Lyndsey Abel, Jaime Kirby, Jeremy Phillips, Josh Phillips; 12 great-grandchildren, Jax Williams, Kole Williams, Canaan Abel, Isley Abel, Johnathan Dominique, Alyssa Burdine, Braydon Burdine, Alexis Dominique, Colton Phillips, Hayden Phillips, Waylon Phillips, Mia Kirby and Kason Kirby; special friend, Judith Perryman; daughter-in-law, Sharlene Phillips and a host of other family and dear friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Elva Phillips; parents, John Phillips and Emma Phillips Smith; siblings, Clifton Phillips, Jackie Phillips, Wayne Phillips, Marshall Phillips, Loretta Smith, Lena Estep and Betty Belshe.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Matt Abel, Canaan Abel, Jaymn Burdine, Ronnie Phillips, Jax Williams and Jaime Kirby.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK. Robert’s family will greet family and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Dwaine Jackson and Bro. Matt Riffle officiating the service. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.
